High Holy Days 2011 / 5771/5772
Tickets
High Holy days services are held in the Stevenson High School Performing Arts Center and can accomodate many worshippers. We respectfully request your tzedakah contribution of $136.00 per person to help us defray the costs of opening our doors to embrace those who are unaffiliated and want to pray and usher in the new year. Your ticket cost will be applied as two times face value towards your 2010-2011 membership.
Youth Services for students in Grades 3-6
Students will join their parents at 10:00 a.m. for our regular service and then be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. to pray in their own interactive High Holy Day Service with our Director of Religious Education, Fraya Feferman. This service is a great way for children who are not ready to sit through adult worship to have their own High Holy Day experience. Afternoon Service for Families with Young Children Afternoon Family Services are designed for young children and their parents to introduce them to the themes of the High Holy Days and a meaningful experience geared to their age level. Afternoon Family Services are open to the community and tickets are not required. Prayer Books The High Holy Day Prayer Book, Gates of Repentance, Yizkor Rememberance / Memorial Scroll Anshe Tikvah will dedicate its new Memorial Scroll at Yizkor Services. Remember your loved ones in a meaningful way by purchasing a name plate. We invite everyone to bring their shofars to the concluding service on Yom Kippur Day to help procalim liberty throughout our land at the end of the Neilah service. If you have a shofar, but are in need of lessons, please contact Rob Jury at Robjury@anshetikvah.org or call 847-917-7725 to set up a lesson.
Tickets are still available for the High Holy Day services at Stevenson High School.
This close to the holidays we will only be able to issue tickets at the door. For security purposes, please be prepared to show a photo ID on request. Our Administrator, Ros Wolfe, will be available at Stevenson High School on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to assist you with any further questions. L'Shanah Tovah
